Understanding UX Patterns in Q-Commerce Apps
This research identifies and investigates standard UX patterns in fast paced delivery platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.
Quick commerce is reshaping India's urban landscape, offering a new kind of convenience that's altering daily routines and shopping habits. This study analyzes the effects of common UX design patterns used in quick delivery platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.

India's quick commerce sector has skyrocketed from $300 million in 2022 to $7.1 billion in 2025, with leading platforms like Blinkit (operates around 1,544 stores), Zepto (approximately 1,000 dark stores), and Swiggy Instamart (operates about 1,000 outlets) now delivering to millions of urban homes in under 10 to 30 minutes.
Industry revenues and user numbers have doubled year on year, transforming how India shops and making instant delivery a core part of daily urban life.

Quick commerce in India now covers more than 100 cities, delivering instant services that have become a necessity in metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and other cities.
While demand is booming in urban cities where 10 to 30 minute delivery is the new industry standard, there is limited spread beyond the metro cities.
1. Blinkit
Largest spread; especially dense in North, West, Central India and metros over 1,000 dark stores, with concentrations in high-density urban clusters and neighborhoods within major cities.
2. Zepto and Swiggy Instamart
Significant footprints in Mumbai, Bangalore, and Southern metros, with 250+ dark stores each across India
